Venue Guide · Coconut Grove
Vizcaya is the venue every Miami photographer wants in their portfolio: a Gilded Age villa on Biscayne Bay with limestone courtyards, formal gardens, and sightlines that do half your design work for you. It caps around 150 for a seated reception, and the estate protects itself with strict rules, approved vendor lists, tight load-in windows, sound limits, no open flame. None of that is a reason to pass; it's a reason to plan with people who have worked the property before.
Money-wise it sits at the very top of the market, and peak-season Saturdays go 12 to 18 months out. The classic play is a garden ceremony into a courtyard reception. Afternoon heat off the bay is real, so later ceremony starts win here, and the gardens at night, lit properly, are unlike anything else in the city.
Expect a venue fee in the $15k+ band before catering, rentals, and production. All-in, most Vizcaya weddings land well into the upper half of the Miami market.
Around 150 for a seated reception. It's an estate, not a ballroom, the intimacy is the point.
Peak-season Saturdays typically book 12 to 18 months out. Off-season and weekday dates move faster.
We’ll tell you honestly whether it fits your guest count and budget, and what it really takes to make it sing. Free for couples, always.
